Would get 5 stars but the drip is pretty difficult to get dialed in. It drips too fast or stops all together. Can’t really just set it and forget it, must keep messing with the dial throughout the brew.

The valve is a little touchy and it takes some experimentation to get the drip rate correct. Makes great cold brew coffee and looks nice on the counter. The glass is thicker than I expected. I am pleased and glad that I finally made the purchase.

One of my favorite bars uses the big Yama to make different kinds of infused whiskeys and tequilas. Their Yama Old Fashioned inspired me and my wife to buy the little Yama brewer and it worked great to infuse a 750ml bottle of bourbon. We filed the hopper with citrus zest and vanilla beans and ran the whiskey through 3 times and it was great.
Would have given this full 5 stars but for the drip valve on this one isn’t very precise. I was going for a drip rate of 1 drip per minute and I either ended up with 5-6 drips per min or totally off. I couldn’t “tune” the valve enough to get a very slow drip. I acknowledge the is probably works fine for coffee but I bought it for making custom cocktails.
